2000 Paso Robles - 2000 Paso Robles-Beato

2000 Paso Robles

Paso Robles has developed a reputation for Zinfandel with deep berry flavor and velvety texture. For this wine, four distinct vineyards produced flavors ranging from jammy blackberry and strawberry to pipe tobacco and black tea. Blending these components created a lovely fusion of flavors supported by nine months aging in French, American and Hungarian oak. A ten percent infusion of Sangiovese added bright berry fruit as well as structure to the wine, which drinks exceptionally well right now. This Zinfandel exhibits moderate alcohol, allowing the balance needed to accompany a wide array of dishes, including spicy and complex foods that do not match well with tannic or overripe wine styles.
