David Bruce Winery is a historic vineyard gifted to Hillsdale College, one of America’s few truly independent institutions. Rather than sell off or commercialize it, the College is honoring its legacy by preserving the estate and continuing to make wine as its founder Dr. David Bruce intended.
Every purchase supports Hillsdale’s mission of classical education, free thought, and leadership. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this wine will be donated to support scholarship at Hillsdale College.

2021 Estate Pinot Noir
Perched 2,200 feet in the Santa Cruz Mountains, our Estate Vineyard sits above the fog line and benefits from cool ocean breezes, warm afternoon sun and slate bedrock soil. This makes an ideal climate for world-class Pinot Noir. Velvety tannins, minerality and spice balance vibrant acidity that allows this wine to drink well now and for the next few decades.
2022 Russian
River Pinot Noir
Russian River Pinot showcases bright cherry and cranberry fruit character combined with sweet spice and a rich earthiness. Lively acidity and soft tannins contribute to a long, structured finish.
2020 Chalone Pinot Noir
Chalone’s limestone-rich, high altitude terroir yields a Pinot Noir of remarkable depth and elegance. This vintage carries a striking mineral character with firm, yet supple, tannins that evolves beautifully with time in the glass.
2023 Saignee of
Pinot Noir Rosé
